Juju Hats
Constructed from a thick mix of colorful feathers, handwoven with raffia and backed with cedar wood, each Juju hat requires many hours of work to complete. Originating from the Bamileke people of Cameroon, they represent centuries of deep ceremonial tradition, and were once worn on the head by royalty during ceremonial occasions. As works of art that have special cultural significance, it is important to display them as such.
